I thought we could start a thread for people to post any prayer requests that they may have. We could even post answered prayers somewhere on the board to encourage ourselves too.
I'll start (if that's ok ).
If you could all just pray for me to find a suitable house for Uni next year then i'd really appreciate it. I'm basically looking for a 5-bed house in the right area, a safe distance from the main road, in a reasonable price range and most importantly with no major structural flaws or damage. I know it's a lot to ask and i'm probably being incredibly fussy.
The housing lists come out tomorrow and so for the next few weeks things might get a bit stressful for me. Any prayers will be much appreciated.
Thank you.

It may be a good idea to start a prayer board although there may be drawbacks. Certainly I am not normally on every night. A request may go un noticed for some time? But I am all for looking for volunteers to join up to such a scheme.
Being an old geezer I'm not sure who you are. Give us a clue and my prayers for you will be more specific.

Okay, as ace welder also suggests giving answered prayers a mention too, here goes:
1. Reached Niger Republic with no worries - great
2. God sorted out the teaching in French- 3 participants don't speak French so we had to do the workshop in Hausa - so I was the goafer and Umaru did >90% of the teaching. God has an ace sense of humour - I can imagine him sniggering and thinking - "Jannine, it is sorted" each time I prayed for help with the French vocab to use when teaching. Thanks Lord
3. My cold has gone
Requests:
1. For Bassey back at home alone living off jam butties or similar!
2. For the hospital here in Niger - they are doing a wonderful job in difficult (spartan) conditions - that God will continue to call people with the necessary skills to work here
All for now!

Ok. We found a house that met up to all of the requirements i listed above so thank you to anyone who prayed about it. I'm really excited to live there come September and really thank God for blessing me with great housemates and a safe, clean, and relatively cheap place to live.
For future reference, a clue as to who i am= my screename is taken from my surname.
Thanks again . |

Thanks to all of you who have been praying for Bassey and his studies.
He is now a postgraduate student at Leeds University. So far all is going well. He has just been given his work station in the post graduate study centre - sounds posh!
I am back in Nigeria for about 3 weeks. Will be back in Leeds 23rd Oct.
Please continue to rpay for us as we settle down.
